If there were any holdouts still doubting whether Kristaps Porzingis can be a legitimate NBA player, they likely vanished Tuesday night, when the 20-year-old Latvian rookie poured in 29 points and 11 rebounds in the Knicks’ victory over the Charlotte Hornets. The performance, which prompted the Madison Square Garden faithful to chant his name, as well as “M-V-P,” was Porzingis’s best in what has already been an impressive rookie season.
