I'm putting up a minprig video very soon, but I suggest you spray prime the figure first, then use the cloth head without any compound to buff it up, you can't go too wrong that way. You'll see the dull spray finish shine up a bit as it smoothens out. Compound can be too abrasive unless you're extra careful. For plastics, I stick with the bare cloth head.
